About Text to ASCII Art Generator
Text to ASCII Art Generator turns words and short messages into large letters made of keyboard characters. It uses seven classic FIGlet fonts — Standard, Big, Small, Slant, Shadow, Banner and Mini — stored on this site and rendered by the open-source figlet.js library in your browser. You can set the maximum width, letter spacing and alignment, add a frame and convert to uppercase.
ASCII art banners are a fun, universally readable way to decorate README files, code comments, terminal tools, chat messages and plain-text emails. Because the result is plain text, it works anywhere that shows a monospaced font — no images or special fonts needed.
Step by step
- Type or paste your text (up to 400 characters).
- Choose a style such as Standard, Big or Slant.
- Set the maximum width, letter spacing and alignment.
- Optionally add a frame or convert the text to uppercase.
- Check any note about characters the style doesn’t include.
- Copy the ASCII art or download it as a .txt file.
