The short version
Toolisco is built so your files never leave your device. The encoding and decoding tools run entirely in your browser, so the contents of any image, text, or file you process are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- We do not upload, receive, or store the files or text you encode or decode.
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask for personal information to use the tools.
- Like most websites, our host records basic technical logs, and we may use privacy-respecting analytics and advertising as described below.
Files and text you process
When you use a tool on this site, the conversion happens locally using standard browser capabilities such as the FileReader, Canvas, and Clipboard APIs. The data you provide stays within the browser tab. It is not sent over the network, queued on a server, or logged by us. When you close or reload the tab, that working data is gone.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on your settings and how you reach the site, the following may apply:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Analytics. We may use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. This measures page visits, not the contents of what you encode.
- Local storage. We store small preferences (such as your light or dark theme choice) in your browser. This never leaves your device.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use minimal cookies and browser storage to remember preferences and, where enabled, to support analytics or advertising. You can control or clear these at any time through your browser settings. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Advertising
We may display advertising to keep the tools free. Third-party advertising partners, such as Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings, and review further options at the relevant industry opt-out pages.
Third-party services
A small number of third parties help us operate the site — for example, our hosting provider and, where enabled, analytics and advertising providers. These parties process limited technical data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices and rights
Because we don’t collect the contents of your files and don’t require an account, there is very little personal data tied to you. You can still control cookies and local storage through your browser, opt out of personalized ads, and contact us with any privacy question or request. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data; we will honor applicable requests.
Children’s privacy
The site is a general-audience developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
Governing law
This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where local data-protection laws grant you additional rights, those rights continue to apply to you.
