About this tool

About Net Worth Calculator

Net Worth Calculator adds up what you own and what you owe and shows your net worth as total assets minus total liabilities. Separate, editable sections cover assets such as cash, investments and property, and liabilities such as loans and credit cards. Negative results are shown clearly. Educational estimate only — not financial advice.

Net worth gives a single snapshot of your overall financial position. Listing items separately makes it easy to see what drives the total and to update it over time.

FAQ

Use a current estimate of what the asset is worth — for example an account balance, the current value of investments, or an estimated market value for property or vehicles. Estimates make the result an estimate too.
Yes. If your liabilities are larger than your assets, the result is shown as a negative amount with a minus sign. That is a normal, valid result for this calculation.
Yes. Each section has an Add button, the names can be edited, the arrows move a row up or down, and ✕ removes it. Rows with no amount are ignored. Reset restores the original rows.
No. It only changes the symbol shown. Enter every amount in the same currency; nothing is converted and no exchange rates are fetched.
No. The figures exist only in this page while it is open. Nothing is stored in your browser or sent to a server.
