    About this tool

    About Photo Collage Maker

Photo Collage Maker arranges your photos into a clean grid — 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 photos, or a custom layout of up to 6 × 6 — and exports a single PNG or JPG. You control the output width and height, spacing, outer padding, background colour, rounded corners and whether photos fill their cells or fit inside them. Drag thumbnails to reorder and watch a live preview, with empty slots clearly marked.

Collages are a quick way to share several photos at once on social media, in messages, presentations, product listings or printed pages. Many collage apps need an account or upload your pictures. This tool works entirely in your browser: photos are decoded and drawn on a canvas on your device, and nothing is uploaded.

    Best practices

    Tips for best results

    • Use photos with similar shapes for the neatest Cover layout.
    • Choose Contain when nothing in a photo may be cropped.
    • Match the output size to where it will be used, for example 1080 × 1080 for a square post.
    • Use PNG for graphics and sharp edges, JPG for smaller photo collages.
    • Check the preview for unused photos or empty slots before creating the collage.

    FAQ

    Common questions

No. Photos are decoded and the collage is drawn on a canvas in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
    2-grid (two side by side), 3-grid (three in a row), 4-grid (2 × 2), 6-grid (3 columns × 2 rows), 9-grid (3 × 3), and a custom grid of 1–6 rows by 1–6 columns.
Cover fills every cell and crops the edges of photos whose shape differs from the cell. Contain shows the whole photo inside the cell and leaves the background colour around it.
The empty slots are marked in the preview and are left as the background colour in the final image. If you have more photos than slots, the extra photos are shown faded and are not used.
Drag a thumbnail onto another position, or use the ← and → buttons under each thumbnail. Photos fill the grid from left to right and top to bottom.
From 100 to 8000 pixels per side, up to 40 megapixels in total. Each photo is kept at up to 1800 pixels on its longest side, so very large cells may look softer than the original photo.
Yes. The rotation stored in a photo’s EXIF data is applied when it is decoded, so portrait phone photos appear upright.
