About Batch QR Code Generator from CSV

Batch QR Code Generator from CSV creates one QR code for each row of a CSV file or pasted data. Choose the column to encode and an optional label column for file names, set the delimiter and header row, and pick the size, colours, error-correction level and quiet zone. Codes are previewed, problem rows are listed, and all files are downloaded as PNG and/or SVG in a ZIP — using this site’s own QR library in your browser.

Event badges, product labels, asset tags, menus and marketing materials often need dozens or hundreds of QR codes. Creating them one by one is slow and error-prone. Generating them from a spreadsheet keeps content and file names consistent, and processing locally keeps your data private.

How to use

Step by step

  1. Upload a CSV file, paste CSV data, or load the sample.
  2. Check the detected delimiter and header row.
  3. Choose the QR content column and, optionally, a label column for file names.
  4. Set the format, size, error correction, quiet zone and colours.
  5. Press Generate QR codes and review the preview and row statuses.
  6. Download the single QR code or the ZIP of all codes, and test-scan a few before printing.

Best practices

Tips for best results

  • Keep dark codes on a light background with a quiet zone of about 4 modules.
  • Use error correction Q or H for small prints or codes that may be damaged.
  • Keep content short — shorter content makes simpler codes that scan more easily.
  • Use SVG for print and PNG for screens and documents.
  • Test-scan several codes with different phones before printing a large batch.

FAQ

Common questions

Up to 500 rows per batch. The limit keeps the browser responsive; split larger lists into several files.
From the label column you choose, made safe for file systems (unusual characters become hyphens). Rows without a label use qr-row-N, and repeated names get -2, -3 and so on.
M (15%) suits most uses. Choose Q or H if the code may be printed small, get damaged or have a logo placed over it; higher levels make denser codes.
Rows with empty content, content too long for a QR code at the chosen error-correction level, or (when “Skip duplicates” is on) the same content as an earlier row are listed with the reason.
Codes follow the QR standard, but scanning also depends on print size, contrast, the quiet zone and the scanner. Use dark-on-light colours, keep a margin of about 4 modules, and test-scan before printing.
PNG is a pixel image at the size you choose — ideal for screens and documents. SVG is a vector that stays sharp at any size — best for print. You can download both.
No. The CSV is read and every code is generated in your browser using this site’s own QR library.
